The Notting Hill members’ club restaurant you can actually book

London’s members’ club boom has produced plenty of beautiful dining rooms, but most come with a catch: you need to know someone, know someone who knows someone, or have a membership card. In Notting Hill, however, there’s now a way in.

Celeste, the main restaurant inside the newly opened Estelle Community townhouse on Ledbury Road, is open to the public despite being part of the same hospitality group behind Maison Estelle in Mayfair and Estelle Manor in Oxfordshire. The venue opened this spring in the former Beach Blanket Babylon building, bringing a dose of private-club glamour to one of west London’s most affluent neighbourhoods.

Set on the ground floor, Celeste serves an all-day menu that blends Italian-American cooking with Californian influences. Signature dishes include Atlantic bluefin tuna crudo with San Marzano tomato salsa, stracciatella and basil, alongside linguine ai tre pomodori, a house pasta dish that sits at the heart of the menu.

The restaurant is joined by a sizeable terrace, making it a particularly appealing prospect during the summer months. Early risers may also want to investigate breakfast, where French toast topped with mandarin and yuzu marmalade and hazelnut crumble features on the menu.

Those hoping to explore further into the building will need membership. The listening room and izakaya-style spaces on the upper floors remain reserved for club members. But for everyone else, Celeste offers a rare opportunity: a glimpse inside one of London’s most talked-about new private club openings, no invitation required.
